Track Description

This was an attempt at the track from The Complete 4WD Guide called Wandering Werrikimbe Wauchope to Walcha.

The gravel starts from Bellangry. The spine is the Hastings Forest Way - with a long diversion through state forest and past Wild Bull Camping Area. A basic gravel and some clay road. A bit steep and rough in parts but the Forester had no problems. The camping area was busy (Christmas New Year 2013)and there was a lovely picnic area next to the Wilson River crossing.

The main problem is that the road is closed from the Forbes Road intersection. So we had to head back to the Oxley highway at Yarras along the Forbes Road. That was also a pleasant drive.

                                Nice drive, very pleasant picnic spot on the Wilson River. The main Hastings Forest Way is closed heading west from the Forbes Road intersection.
