Chichester State Forest Side Track off Mountain Rd & Tinker Rd (updated)
About the Track
Track Description

Side track on Mountain Road.

Replaces   Chichester State Forest Side Track off Mountain Rd & Tinker Rd as it had the incorrect co-ordinates

I did this track a few years ago with a friend and we did not have a gps.  The track log was manually marked from our log maps and memory

Car Nissan Patrol 2 inch lift,

Difficulty     Moderate,

Distance 5 to 6 km

This trail is in between mountain road and corner creek on the map. If you approach from the south you will have more fun to climbing the hills

Unlike most of the other trails around Chichester this is quite a rocky climb. About 24 months ago they had just started logging on the northern end. I hope they have not logged the whole track, as it is one of the better climbs. Mountain Rd itself is easy but enjoyable drive and the only one marked as 4wd only.

40236 We made this drive from the top, leaving Middle Road and driving the entire length of Tinkers Road down to Mountain Road. It was a nice drive in the middle of a hot week, so no mud. The seemed fairly uneventful, with mainly narrow sections and overgrown bushy areas on the way, until the last kilometre where we encountered two creek crossings and a challenging log bridge crossing. Both our Prado and a Grand Vitara made it across the bridge without incident. A fun drive all up. Toyota Prado Jan 18, 2014
12817 Great track but to with a little rain I was unable to make it all the way. Suzuki Sierra Sep 24, 2011
