Famous CREB track stretches from the Daintree, into world heritage rain forest into Wujal Wujal. Visit roaring meg falls along the way. Be careful though, in wet weather the track become treachorous and you wouldn't be the first (or last) to roll your vehicle.
Go with at least 2 vehicles and be proficient in recovery techniques.

update:
Just to let you know that the CREB Track has now been closed for the up coming wet season - due to re-open early June 2012.

36940 | If you start getting bored while there, just don't take the chicken tracks around the steeper climbs. :) But I have to agree that letting oneself get caught in a rain while on this track can be no fun. Highly recommended, if doing it for the first time, is going from Cooktown to Daintree. This way you first start wondering what all the fuss is about, and then it hits you. :) (Just keep in mind there's a river crossing at the far end.) | Jeep Wrangler | |

670 | The track ownership has now been passed back to the original aboriginal landowners and you must ask for permission to drive the track. We towed the campers through and the track was moist in the rain forest I would class as a medium track and extreme in the wet | Nissan Patrol | Jun 21, 2011 |
