About the Track
Track Description

Found the details and description in the magazine hand-book "4WD Weekends out of Perth". 2nd Edition.

This is trip No. 5 in that publication.

We did this track as part of a larger outing not long after we bought our \'Disco and realised we are in love with this part of the world.  We know we should have been with at least another vehicle but made sure we let poeple know where we were headed on each leg of this trip.

In fine weather, even a soft-roader could do this one, but it gets the \'moderate rating because of the steep inclines and the need for the rare low range, especially if its a bit damp.

We found some great spots along the way to have a cuppa with a view. Just the beauty of the countryside will get you hooked.

The waypoints along this route will take you to some historic timber mills and campsites.

We didn\'t camp on this trip, instead, we stayed at a lovely B&B called Tathra (I hope I got that right) and we intend to go back. The owner gave us the inside scoop on some additional tracks in the area around the pine plantations in the area and it was in amongst those that we found a beautiful ridge overlooking a valley and had to stop for that special cuppa once again.

Too much to say here, so please, if you are interested in this track, get the book or go with someone that has it. there are detailed track notes in the articles.
