Starting at the Pomona turnoff on the Bruce Hwy head straight through Pomona onto Kin Kin Rd. Head through Pinbarren and Kin Kin and turn right onto Cooloolah way just short of Coondoo. Cooloolah Way is about 30 kms of gravel road through pine plantations. KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR LOGGING VEHICLES. About 4kms on veer right onto Harry\'s Hut Rd and follow about 10kms to Harry\'s Hut. Camping facilities and day use areas are available. Camping permits must be obtained from Qld parks and wildlife.
A mix of black top and dirt roads. The last 15kms are all on dirt roads, and are an easy drive. Selecting 4 wheel drive not required in the dry, the day we ventured preceeded a few days of rain and the track was slippery... but still didn\'t need 4wd. Watch out for logging trucks and on coming vehicles as the roads are narrow, with little room.
Bring a canoe to maximise the opportunity to experience the impressive surrounding environs.
