Turn right into Mt Topper state forest off the Old Mill road approx 4klms from turn off on Tingha road. This state forest has something for everyone from basic gravel tracks, deep muddy rutted tracks, sand, steep climbs, and rocky decents. Be careful not to drive into old silt dams as this area was heavily mined and these dams will stop the most equiped and modified vehicles. Bring a towel as some of the dams here offer a good swimming place but only the clear water ones as the silt laden ones are tainted with arsnic. The gemstone keen can have a scratch around here too with many smokey quartz and clear crystals found in many places in the state forest. It is possible to drive through to the Guyra road south east of Tingha.
