About the Track
Track Description

Easy beach driving, can be slow going through the soft sand, travel close to low tide. Access track can be bumpy. Lower tyre pressure recommended.

Due to recent weather the beach may be impassable at high tide, travel as close to low tide as possible.

Weather has also exposed coffee rock and tree stumps north of the campsites, caution is advised when traveling through this area. Again, travel close to low tide, this area is not passable at high tide.

4758 Went for a day trip with 5 other vehicles. It had been raining lightly before we got there and sand was nice and firm. Northern end of the inland track looks like it had been graded and with the rain, made it pretty easy. So easy in fact that the Subaru on the trip to made it through without any problems. 48513 was there both friday and monday on the passed easter Week end,we took a mates little 2013 Kia turbo diesel Sportage, he has 20 inch mags that are seriously wide on there too, was good fun, even though the recovery tractor got stuck exiting the beach, this little kia litterally danced over all the bumps, but GUYS SLOW DOWN on the beach, there was 4 ford rangers on there that day and driving very fast over the soft sand(excess of 70km/h thats what we were doing on the hard sand)they were going fast enough to get 3 and four wheels off, fellas it might be good fun but seriously!!! think of other people next time, Holden Rodeo Apr 18, 2014

39884 First time driving on the beach for me, found it to be quite easy with a few tips from my mate that gave with. It was s really nice drive stopped and had s camp for a bit and let the kids out to play in the sand and water they loved it! We headed up the beach and came back down the inland track. 19155 A great enjoyable run along the surf beach on Bribie. The price for the permit is a bit steep ... see the old WW2 Gun bunkers. 22838 beach is very soft at high tide. try to travel at mid to low tide as it is a much easier. also soft getting into the cuttings to access camping sites is also soft. inland track also very soft between poverty creek and lighthouse reach. i ran 16psi in my tyres but should have lowered then to about 12psi. 1419 Great for camping on the beach! Both lagoons are great for swimming, but the first one is exceptional at high tide.
