Cobaw - Googies Fireline
About the Track
Track Description

This last section of the day was great. It look us some time to complete sue to the lack of maintenance of the bush and tracks. I'm glad we brought along some big chainsaws.
For some of this track it was clear it has mainly been used by motor bikes and not allot of 4WDs. There were quite a few 'chicken' tracks, which was good seeing as the 'real' track is now no longer passable. But hey, don't take my word for it.
Near the start of this track it offered us all some fun as there was 3 different ways to chose from. So naturally we tried all three. The most difficult was straight ahead where the main track had been eroded away on one side. That was the first tow of the day. In fact, this track made us all need to be snatched at one point or another.
There were quite a few technical sections on this one requiring a fair hand behind the wheel. Most important thing to remember on this track was to make sure you knew where you wanted to go and pick a good line.

45827 Lots of trees down, even the chicken-tracks are starting to get fairly tough. Did it with a 2-inch lift on 31s and no lockers (but two crates of recovery gear). Solo run, no winching required. Had to stop a couple of times to really think hard about the line to take. Lost both mudflaps on the passenger side. Would be VERY easy to damage your car on this one. LandRover Defender Feb 8, 2015
