Description
Cape Le Grand Beach Campground is situated 55km south east of Esperance at the western end of Wylie Bay, within Cape Le Grand National Park. The camping area is smaller than Lucky Bay with sites consisting of private bays separated by dense vegetation. Facilities include septic toilets and showers. Fireplaces are available however firewood is scarce, so it is advisable to take a gas stove with you. Cape Le Grand beach is a long open beach with pristine water suitable for swimming in calm weather, body surfing and surfing. The 15km Coastal walking trail starts at Le Grand Beach Carpark runing from Cape Le Grand Beach via Hellfire Bay to Rossiter Bay, and features excellent coastal views. There is good fishing from the rocks and along the beach and boats may be launched only on calm days. National Park passes do not include camping. Separate camping fees apply.
