Lovely day for a swim.
Long dirt track roughly maitained by the government out to long sandy beaches.
Red dust or clay road, depending on the weather, winding out to gunn point. This track only shows trip to first beach road but continues out to further beach access points. The sand is quite firm and uniform. Be aware of the fresh water swamps before the dunes though, you will sink if you don\'t plan your route(I did). Beaches are shared by 4wds, quads and bikes. Plenty of BBq and picnic spots under the trees on the fringe of the beach, unsure about camping due to the croc population but people do camp and fish there. Inlet and creek crossings can get very deep and water often flows very fast out to sea.

10203 | Gunn Point Rd. is a typical top end road. It can get corrugated and potholed at times but is qenerally pretty good. There are heaps of camping spots out there, you've just got to look for them. | Toyota Hilux | May 17, 2005 |
