About the Track

Track Description

Start at junction of Old Noosa
road and Hill road. Proceed east on hill road to Mothar Mountain Rock Pools. Good for picnicing. Continue east on Hill Rd to forest . Road marked 4WD Only past this point. Follow easy track through Mothar Mountain State Forest to "T" on eastern border. Turn left onto 2WD road up hill to Mount Pinbarren Lookout and picnic area.

Several alternatives available for round trip. Via Kin Kin pub is one option. If going to Rainbow Beach area from here consider Cooloola Way.

If travelling north on Bruce Highway do this route in opposite direction to by-pass high risk section of highway between Pomona and Gympie
