Turning off from Bonang - McKillops bridge road , this was immediately proper 4wd territory, real steep pinches and rocky sections, taking an hour and 10 minutes to do the 18 km to the top of Mt tingaringy. I hesitate to say very difficult though, as it woud be quite achievable in a standard 4wd vehicle. The trip down the other side was much quicker, an easy descent to the seasonal closure gate and then 2wd back to the Bonang-Delegate road. On the way down, checked out Tingaringy falls - signposted as a 50 minute walk, a little more like 20 minutes, although steep so its like 5 minutes down and 15 back!!
