This loop is a very scenic run. Its rated as moderate more due to the steep rocky inclines encountered throughout the trip. It requires moderate clearance four wheel drives with low range and at minimum all terrain tyres. The trip takes in the likes of bald knob and the mysterious Wonnangatta Valley. Take your rod and reel in season as there is always a brown trout or two to be caught. There are several tracks that can be taken out of the valley such as Wombat or Herne Spur. You will need a copy of the Rooftop, Dargo to Wonnangatta map set. This treck sticks to the easier Tea Tree Range Track and returns you to Talbotville much faster than the above mentioned. Pay particular attention to the respective maps as the Wonnangatta Valley, like all High Country tracks are seasonally closed.
