The Worumba Station Track
Situated 30km East of Hawker this is a great track for beginners and those with limited experience to tackle before heading out to the likes of Sky Trek. Designed by Mary Clarke the current owners (well in 2005 they were) it starts at her Art Gallery and weaves its way around their property. Wonderful track notes full of information, heaps of wildlife and having been designed by an artist it\'s a photographers delight. When we were there she had just opened up another track taking in the other half of the property, (we were only the 3rd forby to try it out). It has some riverbed driving, and you\'ll experience almost every track surface you\'ll come across while driving in the Flinders. It\'s also a good one if your travelling alone.
There is some accommodation on site as they have revamped the old shearers shed, not sure about camping as it is near enough to Hawker where we were staying. It might pay to ring first (see website for number) as it has been a few years since we did this one.
